The buyer journey on MkulimaOS Marketplace, end to end: search verified lots, assess the evidence, draft an RFQ, and transact — with producer identity protected until acceptance.
Search the verified catalogue
Describe what you need in plain language — origin, certification, quality, quantity — or filter by product, certification, and region. Claude (Anthropic) ranks the verified catalogue against your brief and attaches a fit explanation to each match.
Assess the lot
Each lot page shows quality evidence (cupping score, processing, harvest, certifications), an EUDR compliance tier derived from batch verification, an AI trust vouch that cites the underlying evidence, and an AI fair-price band labeled as an estimate.
Draft an RFQ
Sign in as a buyer and submit a Request for Quotation with your quantity, target price, and requirements. Buyer accounts are separate from farm-operator accounts and grant sourcing access only.
Transact
On acceptance, the producer's full origin and contact are shared and the RFQ converts to an order payable through the platform. (Payments run in sandbox in v1; production rails go live for confirmed orders.)
Why anonymized until acceptance
A buyer needs enough to decide — region, certifications, EUDR tier, quality, an evidence-cited trust vouch. A producer needs to protect their negotiating position until there is a real intent to buy. Anonymizing identity until RFQ acceptance serves both: transparency on the evidence, privacy on the identity.
Why the AI is named
Matching, the trust vouch, and the price band are produced by Claude (Anthropic), and we say so on every AI surface. Naming the provider — and labeling the price band an estimate and the vouch a summary of real evidence — is how the marketplace keeps its claims honest.
What EUDR verification means for you
A lot's EUDR tier reflects verifiable per-batch state and gives you a documented starting point toward your own due-diligence statement. It does not discharge your obligation as the EU-market operator. See the Insights articles for a working reference.
